Bloodborne Lore: The City of Yharnam

Yharnam is a dark, gothic city at the heart of Bloodborne, home to the Healing Church and its blood healing practices. Although there is no clear ruler, it seems the Church controls the city, as its teachings are central to life there. The Church uses blood to heal, curing wounds and diseases, which shapes the city’s culture. Blood-based drinks have even become more popular than alcohol among the citizens.

The people of Yharnam are seen as strange or crazy by outsiders and are very distrustful of non-natives. The city’s focus on blood and its dark secrets make it a mysterious and dangerous place in Bloodborne.
